Sophisticated NBC domestic comedy starring real-life couple Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy as New York attorney Ben Marriott and his wife Liz, a former department-store fashion buyer adjusting to home life while the pair raise their young son Pete and teenage daughter Emily. Scripts were written largely by Ernest Kinoy, and the show used an unusual device of alternating narrators -- Ben telling the story one week, Liz the next. It aired Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. ET from October 4, 1953 to March 28, 1954, and carried over to NBC television in the summer of 1954.
