The Sin Eater

July 8, 1962 rich

Synopsis

Passing through a remote stretch of Appalachia, a couple stumbles onto a family observing an old mountain custom: consuming the sins of a relative who has just died, so his soul can pass on unburdened. Before the night is over, the visitors are drawn into the ritual themselves.
