Claudia is the intimately scaled story of a marriage -- David and Claudia Naughton, a young newlywed couple drawn from Rose Franken's bestselling stories. Claudia is the impulsive, charmingly naive bride, married at eighteen and growing into her life with a patient architect husband, her too-close bond with her mother straining the union early on. Rather than melodrama, the show traded in the small joys and anxieties of newlywed life: thrift, an overhanded mother-in-law, the daily work of mutual adjustment.
